A Peer-Reviewed Qualification

This Center of Excellence qualification program is a consultative process by which an organization is provided specific criteria and is coached to assure the inclusion of therapy-specific standards into its practices, develop and promote staff expertise, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and become known for excellence in therapy-specific patient care within the community.

While professional practice guidelines establish standards for various specialties within home care, organizations often struggle with the development of concrete criteria to predict and describe the quality of services they provide.  Implementing a center of excellence framework is one way to establish and demonstrate excellence in specialty pharmacy, home infusion, or ambulatory care programs.

Based on dimensions common to other center of excellence (COE) programs in health care, the Specialty Pharmacy or Home Infusion Center of Excellence (SPHI-CoE) qualification program has been designed to structure, develop, demonstrate, and sustain service excellence for specific patient care and/or clinical service areas within the alternate care marketplace.

This qualification has been designed to support you through the process of organizing your therapy- or population-specific program according to criteria based on dimensions found to be in common within established health care programs.  Throughout this process you will receive clinical, business, and marketing coaching from a team of well established and respected specialty pharmacy and home infusion professionals.
